From building hives to honey harvesting, I learned every thing I know about bees today. West Nile honey is the prime source of honey for all of Uganda, and I got to “bee” up close and personal with the process today. From clay pots, in true Winnie the Pooh fashion, to hollowed-out logs (both behind me), anything can be made into a hive. And while it was still too early in the day to collect the honey - the bees are less active in the evening - new hives were set and are ready for new colonies to move on in.
