I’ve been fortunate enough to get involved in a mural project early on in my service. A fellow volunteer in a nearby village enlisted my help in painting murals at the school. As health volunteers we felt we had to do at least one mural related to health - hence the hand washing mural. But our time in country has shown us that geography isn’t a strong point for some of the younger students, so we worked on 3 maps: one of the world, one of Africa, and one of The Gambia . It took us more than a month of hard work with plenty of help from the teachers to finish our murals. Hopefully, they will be useful learning tools for the students. But if not, at least the murals are kind of pretty.
This looks great!!
