This is my favorite daily life thing: my host dad invests hours every day to help my 6 yo host brother learn to read. He is unfailingly patient and keeps a beautiful sense of humor during little Danyel’s impatience and struggles to master reading. Here they are in our home’s agaroad, or garden, and Danyel is reading to Ata while he turns the soil. This is so beautiful and precious to me, especially, because I was homeschooled but my dad didn’t get involved and was never patient with us when we were struggling to learn something new. Seeing a good father doing his job well is healing and marvelous to me every single day. #howiseePC
